The rules of five-card stud are something that most all poker players easily will remember. First you are going to ante in the game. You will put money in the pot for the privilege of joining in the game. You can’t play if you don’t ante in. This is done in both online and offline games, and it is usually a very minimal amount.

After putting in your ante to the game, you are going to be dealt five cards. When this is done all the players are going to look at their cards, and put in a bet, going around the table. Even though you are playing online you will still see other poker players sitting around the table, and playing the game but you will only see their places, not their faces.

The online poker game is one that will go fast as you are going to get dealt five cards, and then place a bet based on those five cards. There are not chances for new cards in the game of five-card stud.

There are some casinos online that will use one joker or possibly two jokers in the game of five-card stud. What this means is that you will be given a chance to make different combinations in your hand if you have the joker or a wild card in your hand. The rules will state before the game if a wild card or joker is going to be used in the poker room.
